Tefuda has no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising and no third-party trackers. Nearly everything the game knows about you stays in your own browser and is never sent anywhere. The one exception is a leaderboard entry, which is sent only when you choose to submit one.

What stays in your browser

The game keeps its state in your browser’s local storage. None of it is transmitted to us, and it is readable only by Tefuda itself:

• —The run you are playing — the deck, your hand, the discard pile and the score so far, so a refresh does not cost you the run.
• —Your daily results — which past daily challenges you have attempted, and your best on each, which is what fills in the calendar.
• —Your settings — theme, language, and whether sound is muted.
• —Whether you have seen the tutorial, so it stops opening itself.
• —A player id and a display name, described below.

Clearing site data for this site in your browser erases all of it. The game will then behave exactly as it does for a first-time visitor.

What a leaderboard entry sends

Submitting a run — and only submitting a run — sends us the following. Nothing is sent while you are merely playing.

• —The display name you type. Up to 16 characters, and entirely your choice; it does not have to be, and should not be, your real name. It is shown publicly on the board.
• —A player id. A random identifier your browser generates the first time you submit. It is not derived from anything about you or your device — it exists so the board can keep one row per player rather than one per attempt, and so it can point at the row that is yours. Clearing site data discards it and you become a new player.
• —The moves you played, plus the day or the seed the run was dealt from. Your score is not sent: the server replays your moves through the same rules your browser ran and takes the score from that. This is what makes a board score verifiable rather than claimed.

Entries are stored in a database run by Cloudflare on our behalf, along with the time the entry was made. Of all of it, only your display name, score, level and rank are ever shown to anyone else.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and measure how quickly pages load. It sets no cookies, assigns no identifier that can follow you to another site, and does not fingerprint your browser. What we see is aggregate traffic, not people.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes the ordinary details of a web request — including your IP address — in order to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We do not store IP addresses ourselves, and none is recorded with a leaderboard entry.

What we never do

• —Sell or rent anything about you. There would be nothing to sell.
• —Show advertising, or embed an advertiser’s code.
• —Ask for an email address, a password, or a payment method.

Children

Tefuda is a card game suitable for a general audience. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age — the display name is the only free-text field on the site, and it is optional and self-chosen.

Removing your entry

Because there are no accounts, an entry is identified by its display name and the day it was set. Email contact@magicparklabs.com with those two things and we will delete the row. Everything else the game holds is in your browser, and clearing site data removes it without asking us.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
